My first knitted purse!!!
I just finished my first project on my Knit Picks Options circular needles. Very easy purse and/or tote.
Using a bulky yarn (I used 3 skeins of the Yarn Place's Adalie Wool Blend in Painted Desert) on size 11 circs, cast on 96 stitches and knit in the round until it reaches desired length (about 8-9 inches; 2 1/2 skeins of yarn) and bind off. Stitch the bottom closed using a basic whip stitch.
Using size 6 straight needles and leftovers from the 3rd skein, cast on 7 in the same yarn and make an 12 inch I-cord. Do this twice and attach to body of purse.
I also made four knitted flowers from the pattern on the Lion Brand website in the same Adalie yarn and sewed them over the four spots where the I-cords are attached to purse. Viola---very easy purse.
I'll try to post a picture later. It's really gorgeous yarn and it makes the tote.

Nicely done! Looks like a great little purse, and doesn't look like it would be too complicated or time consuming.

Really awesome! I'm a beginner knitter and think this looks a bit advanced yet for me...maybe soon though! Thanks for the inspiration!
Did you have to line the tote bag?
It really is a pretty pattern. thanks, doodles
Thanks for the pattern - nice and easy, great to build confidence. Your choice of yarn really is nice! Thanks :0)
This is cute and I need quick, easy projects to help me to know "I can do it!" Thanks. I have a filthy dirty car too. Kids and dogs, gotta love 'em.
I love this and am already starting it...it is very basic and perfect for beginners ..cant wait to see how this turns out!!!! Thanks so much for the share!!!
Love this pattern. I want to make it as a knitting bag to tote my knitting around so want it wide enough to hold 12 inch needles. What width was your bag please?
It was about 1 foot long but it also stretched a lot! I was able to put in size 19 needes and yarn with no problem.
Glad you like the purse and thanks for visiting.

Thanks for the quick answer Christy. I have just bought my first circular needles and will start casting on tonight. Best wishes. Ellen
